Hello folks. This seems to have been an issue for a long time… that choosing to update Roastime is no guarantee that you will not be asked to update 15 mins later… and again and again… it’s always 4.8.1 and always saying I need to restart Roastime to update. I do that, it says it is updating and then a few minutes later, the same message. I have just become accustomed to ignoring it, but it’s a pain, especially when it pops up DURING A ROAST…
any fixes out there, and how come it says it’s updating and yet the software has been at 4.8.1 for 2 years maybe?
In other news, the interface, graph etc has improved, well done on that.

Hi, sorry I should have responded sooner… That seems to work on my desktop, I will try on my laptop when I roast later today or tomorrow… I have a feeling I did remove that a couple of times before… anyhow I will see if it stops incessantly popping up during the roasting process as it did last week.

PS i have some feedback about the “notes” section of Roastime…
@jacob just started my laptop, deleted that file in my .appdata roaming, started rt, got the update message, restarted, said it was appying updates, but then immediately said i should restart to update again… so i am afraid removing that folder worked on my pc (not for roasting) but did not work on my laptop, which i use for roasting… --
Hi there, i think i was just finishing when you sent your message. Were you just curious to watch a roast in progress? It will be interesting, as the bean is organic honey processed and has varieties of varying bean size, so a bit tricky… I did the roast slightly differently each time, so we’ll see what the little tweaks do to the taste.
Hi, it doesn’t actually need to be roasting, I am sure the update loop will happen regardless of whether I’m actually roasting or not… do you want me to try it now… 11pm but I would be glad to try.
