Hello, I’ve been roasting on my R1 Bullet for many years and was part of the early-testers group for RT4. I recently received my new R2 and tried to connect the roaster to my WiFi (FWIW), but I haven’t been able to through RoasTime or the Bullet directly (the directions for that are sparsely described). It even keeps calling it a touchscreen, which unless I’m on another planet (lol), is obviously not a touchscreen, unless putting your finger on it means you can touch it. jk
Anyone gotten their R2 connected via it’s new WiFi feature?
Thanks so much!
Well, after everything was shut down and I came back to it and powered everything up, it connected automagically to my WiFi, so consider this solved!
I have been wondering about the wifi connection for a while. Where in the manual does it explain how to connect it to wifi. I swear I have read through it several times and I can’t find it explained anywhere. Thanks!
Is the Wi-Fi connection even used for anything? I managed to get my R2 to connect; it says it’s connected, but I haven’t been able to determine what, if anything, it gains me. RoastTime doesn’t talk to the roaster over Wifi or anything, that I can tell.

From what I understand, if a user was not using Roastime, then with the Bullet connected to WiFi it can get its firmware updates from the Bullet’s front panel.
