Hello everyone, I’ve just started using Bullet. This might seem like a silly question, but since I’m a new user, and given the conflicting answers I’ve received from some Bullet users, as well as the explanation in the Bullet Manual on this topic, I hope you can help me with the question I’m about to ask.
After the roasting is finished, we transfer the beans from the cooling tray, and now I need to perform the roaster cooling. In this case, should we stay in tray cooling mode until the roaster temperature drops to 80°C and it automatically switches to off mode, or after transferring the beans from the tray (after final roasting), should we switch to ‘‘shut down’’ mode instead of keeping ''bean ‘’ cooling mode on until the roaster cool down "
There is a difference between bean cooling and roaster cooling.
Bean cooling happens after you drop your roast and the fan in the cooling tray turns on, denoted by “C” and a number, which is the speed of that fan. You should stay in this mode until your beans are at room temperature. I agitate them with a wooden stirrer for about 1-2 minutes and then the bean cooling is done.
Roaster cooling is for when you’re done roasting. You can’t just turn off the machine as the residual heat will harm the internals. This mode runs the main fan, denoted by “F” and a number until the roaster gets to about 80 °C. After that, you can turn off the machine.
To finish your roast and shut down the machine, just run the bean cooling cycle, cool the beans, and then press PRS. The machine should go into roaster cooling. Leave it on until it’s back to Ready mode and then you can turn it off.
If you want to roast again after finishing a roast, then you can press F1 during the bean cooling cycle. This will preheat the roaster while leaving you in bean cooling mode to finish your previous roast.
Thanks a lot
