This just started happening today – when I plug in my v1 bullet, it starts up reporting a drum temp of 200F (on the device display) even though it is stone cold. It seems to be booting up in “charge” mode (see roastworld screenshot) presumably due to the reported temperature, even though I haven’t started a roast yet.
Thinking this may be a roastworld / firmware incompatibility, I tried updating firmware, and the window looks like this – ‘Start Firmware Update’ is disabled and I can’t click on it.
Any ideas? Thanks all.
Apologies, I neglected to say, I cannot start a roast because of this – the machine is locked in charge mode.
Some additional information: I am using Roastime 4.14.3, and I can’t really tell the firmware version (see screenshot above). I believe the software may have updated today when I started my laptop, which is what got me thinking about firmware incompatibility, but that’s just a guess.
I would definitely post this into a ticket to Aillio. The lack of ability to start a roast should be their highest priority.

I figured this out!
In case this helps anyone else that sees this – the issue is that the “Connection” button on the top right hand side was set to ‘libusb’. This apparently doesn’t work – switching it to ‘Serial’ and replugging in the USB cable fixed everything.
