I can honestly say that regular, disciplined disassembly of the chaff collector, soaking in a cafiza bath, and wiping the front IR housing will give you consistent behavior from the R1. Also, I found that owning a nice set of t-handle hex head screwdrivers doesn’t hurt…We put these little machines through constant earthquake situations, so a little tightening of the screw heads here and there will prevent bigger issues down the line. Lastly, a good visual inspection of the belts and assembly never hurt anyone,
