Has any consideration been given to adding the ability to change settings when you’re doing back-to-back roasting while preheating? I would like to be able to make adjustments when I initiate the back-to-back for adjusting the preheat, power and fan). This would be helpful when you’re switching to a different coffee and/or batch size.
I’m glad you mentioned this. I was trying to change preheat temperature between batches and couldn’t figure out if I was missing something. +1 on this idea
Isn’t this feature already available? I do B2B roasts mostly and I do get a drop down to change the preheat temperature (if required) between each roast.
If this feature is available, I would love to know how to use it.
I feel like I wasn’t seeing it on Roast.Time, but I was focused on trying to change it directly on the control panel. I’ll pay closer attention next roast.
Well, you should be able to set preheat on the control panel between b2b roasts. The manual also confirms this.
Thanks! I should have checked the manual lol. Appreciate you sharing this.
I do this all the time from the control panel. Just use the up and down controls after hitting F1 to go into back to back mode before hitting PRS. There’s a slight delay after entering back to back mode before the preheat temp is displayed but you can change the setting right away.
Along these lines but not necessarily in b2b, is there a way to change preheat temp once you already started preheating with toggling through cooling and shutdown and completely starting over and losing the current roast info? For instance I start preheating and I’m all setup but decide I want to change the preheat setting? I think I asked about this before but never quite figured out how to do it.
Well, as I just happened to pass by, I can confirm that the only way is to cycle through everything again. I do think it’s the same for R2, but can’t say for certain as I’m using the R1.
Ok thanks. I’m on R1 also. Kind of confirms again what I have been thinking. A while back I posted about this and requested as a new feature. I did get some answers about doing it during a recipe with a kind of convoluted method. Sure would be nice to have since I sometimes (often )change my mind.
