Why are the Flavor, Process and Variety fields hard coded choices? I have flavor notes, processes and varietals that are not options. Am I missing something? It doesn’t seem to let me add new options in these fields unless it matches an existing choice. This is forcing me to either leave things blank or misrepresent a coffee in my inventory. And presumable misrepresent it to the community. I am new here so, maybe I am missing something, please advise.

Did you pick an existing bean or create something new? I noticed that when I picked one from the dropdown list that I wasn’t allowed to modify any of the fields either, but if I added a new bean then I was free to edit all the fields.
I am adding a brand new bean and still being restricted in these fields. Example: in the flavor field I would like to put “cola” or “cinnamon” and I can’t because it is not an option. And example: in process I would like to put “fermented natural” or “anaerobic natural” and I can’t.
This has driven me crazy since I bought my R1 many years ago. I had written in to RW, but never really got an answer (or to be fair, followed up). I eventually just gave up on trying to be able to enter a bean that wasn’t pre-listed. I don’t know why that isn’t possible, but as far as I know, it isn’t. Maybe someone will chime in and tell us that you can do it and how it’s done. That would be great!
Glad to hear I am not doing something wrong and someone else is aware of the issue. Bummer to know it seems like something Aillio doesn’t really care to address.
