Define First Crack....the very first bean or not?

Hi!
I have been roasting for 6 yrs and enjoying what i have produced. Having recently upgraded to the Bullet, I have a seemingly simple question. What defines first crack? I have thought is means the first crack that I hear, but often that seems early compared to the rest of the roast to begin. Essentially, that first crack seems like an outlier and not a fair mark for the beginning. There is a more clear “group” beginning that I note, followed by what I’d call the full first crack. This all leads up to the length of time it takes to go through first crack, and when to end the roast? Any thoughts?

I wait till I hear about 3 or more very close together. Single cracks are (imo) outliers. Of course YMMV…

Edit- it probably matters less what your marking criteria is but rather consistency in using that criteria every time.
