Hello,
I have the new R2 Pro and am really enjoying it so far. In addition, I am really enjoying RoasTime and Roast World as a platform. They are very easy to use and perfect for someone new to roasting.
At the same time, Artisan is a coffee roasting app that many people are used to. In the past, there was a way to use both RoasTime and Artisan with the Bullet R1. How about the R2 now? Is it something supported?
Thank you kindly

In theory it should work. As the R1 V2 is being supported, the R2 (Pro) could work as well. In case device IDs were changed, this could be an issue but should be fixable.
Just try it
Well, I just downloaded Artisan and configured it for the R1, but it wasn’t able to see the R2. I’ll need to play around a bit and check the settings. Is there a tutorial out there for connecting the R1 and matching up all the sensors? Maybe that would help.
For the R1 anything is ready to go when you’re choosing the R1 with IBTS as a config.
Then, when you’re checking the the resulting buttons and sliders, you’ll find the corresponding settings.
But now for the R2 it is becoming tricky. Regretfully I do not (yet) have received the R2. A USB sniffer could perhaps reveal the commands being sent or the measurements received.
Not sure whether Aillio will publish the information to adapt Artisan - wish they’d do it.
Yes, it seems more work is needed on the Artisan side. I can confirm Artisan “sees” the R2 via USB, but doesn’t know how to deal with it.

Today I’ve written a mail to Jonas, taking Marko Luther in cc:, asking for the specs to adapt Artisan for the R2/R2 Pros.
Additionally a feature request was submitted here in the forum.
Fingers crossed we can make that happen.
