Downloaded v3 - unable to connect to roaster when plugged in

I recently just bought the bullet r1 v2 and downloaded the roastime3. When I connected the laptop[usb] with the roaster it does not ‘connect’ via Roastime however when trying the 2.5 version it connects. What could i be doing incorrectly?

I was having similar problems until I force updated the drivers via the RT3 software.

I had the same issue with the latest software and changed it to the latest stable build - 5.9 and the problem was resolved.
