First seasoning roast - terrible sounds from the drum

anyone else deal with this sound like the drum is rubbing against the front… i checked to see if the drum had moved out of place during shipment but it didn’t seem so. obviously - im not doing my first seasoning roast today. any words of wisdom? gonna try to figure out how to upload the video

It seems like the screw of the handle is protruding and touching the drum. Try unscrewing it, and when you screw it back on, maybe hold a finger behind the door and feel if it comes out too much.

That worked! i may have to get another washer tho so I can tighten the nut a little better without it protruding out the backside- thank you

Hi @carvegrind,

Here’s the conventional way of installing the Door Handle:

  1. Install the Door Screw halfway in with an H.25 Screwdriver (included in the toolkit).
  2. Install the Teflon Washer (white).
  3. Screw the Door Handle halfway in while holding the Door Screw with an H2.5 Screwdriver.
  4. Tighten the Door Screw until it is flush with the Door.
  5. Fully tighten the Door Handle while holding the Door Screw with an H2.5 Screwdriver.
