Getting Started with a medium roast

Hello All,

Very new here and I would like to get into roasting medium roasts. I think that is the roast I gravitate towards. How long should the average length of a medium roast be for both washed and natural beans? I bought a bunch of samples from Coffee Bean Corral. Assuming a 237g/8 oz. batch size, what should I shoot for generally for a starting power?

There are various measures used by different people to gauge roast level - visual (colour),delta temp, drop temp, time since FC, DTR and so on. I use Delta Temp and I usually go by FC + 15Degrees C for Medium, + 19 for Medium Dark and around 23+ for Dark.
