Sometimes P3 (for example) does not provide enough heat and P4 is too much, for certain phases of roasting. Can the bullet heating element handle half heat settings? What would it take for Roast Time to support half settings? A 3.5 (or 6.5 or 9.5) woule be awesome!
I think the problem is the two character display. As an alternative, how about using extra or lesser fan speed to get your "half stop " ?

I do use the fan, but thats more of a work-around than anything. I understand your point about character limit.
The real question is: would incremental heat options be valuable and desirable? I know on my other roasters, i have unlimited heat settings (modulating valves), and its helpful.
