I just updated my RT 4.14.3 to the latest version on Linux. Started my recipe as usual but RT stays in idle mode. I was able to update the FW to 617, so connection cannot be a problem. Also, deleting ~/.config/roastime/deps and starting 4.14.3 restores connectivity (but that version is buggy, seemingly loosing data points, shifting graphs right all the time). Roaster is in R1v2.

Is this still an issue on 3.24.4? Looks like you are in the beta version (this isn’t the version we have released to prod yet). I can move you onto the prod version if it is not resolved in the latest beta.

Hi @mcaillio, thanks for getting back to me. I just updated to the latest version, that’s v3.26.0 for the communication service and I also ran the usb config script to prevent ModemManager from accessing the roaster. However, while roastime sees the roaster as Connected, it doesn’t recognize the roaster’s activity. 
PS: and yes, I went throught linked doc
I reverted Linux to use LibUSB by default. Let me know if this fixes your issue.
