I’m curious if there has been any talk on the forums about roast time potentially being open source software. As a software engineer myself I would love to help out when I can or make my own forks of the software to test out feature ideas people have here on the forum and ideas of my own.

Or even just an API that lets external apps communicate with RoasTime, and read and write data, like logs, beans, recipes.

I think there is some intermingling of RT and RW in this thread. I can say that the likelihood of RT being open sourced is slim (maybe portions at some point though), but we have been actively working on an API for RW data (so you can read roasts, bean, etc data). That will be released very soon.
