Prototype All-Metal 1-Piece Exhaust Adapter for Aillio Bullet

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on improving on the Exhaust Adapter for the Aillio Bullet.

My Brother in Law and I built a prototype exhaust adapter modeled directly after the original schematics provided by Aillio. Unlike multi-part or 3D-printed plastic setups that can warp under heat, this is a solid, one-piece metal design.

Key Highlights:

  • One-Piece Metal Construction: Built as a single solid piece to eliminate leaky joints, structural flexing, or melting concerns that often come with multi-part 3D-printed designs.
  • Airflow Performance: During test roasts, I haven’t seen any signs of airflow throttling or backpressure issues.
  • Smoke Control: It directs exhaust cleanly into the ducting, keeping ambient smoke to an absolute minimum in the roasting space.

I brought this prototype along to the Los Angeles Coffee Fest recently and showed it to a few fellow roasters. There was some solid interest from folks who saw it in person, so I’m making this post to gauge broader community interest online.

If there’s enough community demand, I’m considering producing a small production run for Bullet owners looking for a robust, permanent exhaust adapter solution.

Let me know your thoughts, feedback, or any questions in the comments! Would this be something you’d want on your setup?
