I should point out it’s cold where I am right now (-2c)
The Roaster has been completely fine all year, but recently it has struggled to heat.
When I begin booting up the roaster, the Fan underneath the roaster turns on like normal, but where it normally turns off again, recently it has just kept going for 5, sometimes 10 minutes while in the preheat menu - before eventually this fan turns off and the roaster begins to heat on its’ own accord.
This has happened twice already, and although no error codes have popped up, it makes me wonder why this is happening?
Is it in relationship maybe to the low ambient temperature?
If it’s really -2°C where you’re roasting, it is in relationship with ambient temperature. Also, there could be a lot of condensation using the roaster at those temps, so I would advise against it. It’s strange you didn’t get an error, but the manual says…
Hi there,
I’m having the same issue … did you get to the bottom of what it might be other than the ambient temperature ?? … its 2 degrees where I am, so similarly cold, but have roasted before in these conditions and never had this issue …
2° is cold enough to change how the electronics behave (eg capacitors). Is the machine that cold when you turn it on? (best to store it indoors, power it up at room temperature)

Do you have a space heater you could use to warm up your roasting area? I’ve used this in the winter when it has been under 10C in my garage in the past. I would turn on and let it warm my roasting area for 10-15 minutes prior to turning the roaster on.
Thanks … you are right is it the ambient temperature … put on a heater and the machine operates fine … it clearly likes to be kept toasty ! thanks for your help
