I had the following issue:
After launching Roastime I just got a white screen on my Macbook M1 Pro.
I had to delete Roastime and newly install it.
Also the connection issue is still existing. The only way it works for me is:
- Start Roastime
- Connect USB cable to Macbook
- Connect cable to Bullet
The roaster is great but the ongoing SW issues are a big minus for me as I spend more time on the issues than roasting
Hello @weinbauer,
If you haven’t already, please try the ARM version of RoasTime; we’ve released one specifically optimized for M1 Macs. You can download it here: RoasTime™
If you’re still running into any issues, please email us at [email protected] so we can help troubleshoot further.
Still issues
When I open Version 4.11.6 I get a white screen. Had to delete the library.
Do you guys knowing, what you are doing???
Will try to answer your two questions separately.
- White screens with no error do not happen very often, but when they have in the past, it almost always means there is a local data issue. Ergo, one of your roast, bean, etc files became corrupted somehow and is blowing up. Can you extract your data directory that you are deleting and send it to us?
- The connection issue seems to be Mac M-series specific as far as I can tell. This is something more at the OS-level and I am working on getting all these kinks sorted.
