Roastime lagging, did not save last roast

Pretty rough day for roasting.

Roastime 3.4.1, firmware 606

I did two 1lb roasts, then four 2lb roasts. I let the roaster cool down after the third roast, and I had a fan pointing at the PCB housing the whole time.

Every roast, roastime was lagging 10 - 20 seconds behind the roaster. Roastime did not give a constant feed of data, like it has for the 200+ roasts previous. Instead, it would stop at a time, then jump to another time several seconds later and stop again.

I like to check my reference roasts during the current roast. It took 37 seconds for my roasts page to load on the worst instance. I timed it with a stopwatch.

The final roast did not save.

I previously replaced the intake fan with a stronger one, as advised in a previous ticket. I have roasted in warmer conditions than today without the upgraded fan, so I didn’t expect to need that extra fan, but thought it might help anyway.

What’s going on? This is very frustrating, and I’d love some help that’s not “Try roastime 4.xx” because I still can’t log in to that version.

I have a screenshot of the final roast’s end screen if that will help. Let me know.

I haven’t seen this with current RT4 versions.

I’d love to be able to use that current version, but I have yet to be given a solution that works to the failed login issue.

Hey @retsofekaj6pa9,

Are you roasting on Windows or Mac? We’ve seen some cases on Windows where RT was being blocked by the user’s firewall. If possible can you try logging in with you firewall disabled? You might need to give RT permissons to connect to the internet.

If RT already has permissions, does the Login with Roast World button work?

Mac OS. You suggested those things in the other thread back in August, I replied, and you never came back.

I can log into roast.world fine on a browser, but I get error messages when I try to do that through RT4.

Oh, my apologies for missing that reply.

What version of MacOS are you using? We added the Login with Roast World button to get this sorted out but it seems like there is some other issue preventing login from working.
