I have been experiencing an issue where update notifications cause the roaster to disconnect. Today’s issue was less trouble, because the roaster was preheating between roasts and I was able to reconnect without loss of data, by unplugging and reconnecting the cable.
I had disabled auto-updates because I had experienced loss of data with those. In this case, it was a notification that I dismissed without updating.
Mac OS Sequoia 15.6.1, RoasTime Version 4.13.6 (4.13.6)
This happened again today. A notification of an available update came through in the middle of a roasting session, but between batches. I dismissed it, and it caused the roaster to disconnect.
I unplugged the USB cable from the roaster from the computer and plugged it in again, and the roaster reconnected.
This is a really bad bug, because it can happen in the middle of a roast.
Off the top of my head, maybe a solution would be to only check for updates on startup, rather than have them able to appear at any time.
