Ror readings compared to artisan/cropster

Hey guys, so I’ve been roasting on my bullet now for about 5 months, coming from a Kaldi roaster using artisan. One question I’ve had is why the Ror is displayed in variable “squiggly lines” compared to a smooth line like on artisan or cropster. I just was wondering if anyone knew why this is?

Hey Stephen,

Welcome to the forum. I think what you are looking at the delta smoothing. So the data is same but the software smooths out the graph. Not sure how to change it on RoastTime, but I wouldn’t be concerned unless the lines were extreme. You would be able to see this in Artisan by reducing the “smooth delta” number.
