RT 3.4 Inventory not reduced after roast [known issue] [valid workaround available]

Reduction of inventory on RW after roasts has never worked for me, even after update to RT 3.4. I’ve been having to go in and manually update every time. A bit frustrating especially after I hoped that 3.4 upgrade would fix it. Am I the only one still having this problem? Is there a fix?

I am having the same issue as above…just roasted 3.5kg today but nothing get updated on roast world inventory

Yeah, it’s never worked for me (on MacOS). I was hoping it’d be solved with 3.4, but no joy.

Hey @prof.coffee and @fred0823,

We’ve identified and fixed this issue. But it requires a 3.4.1 hot-fix. We’re working on getting this out asap. In the meantime, there is a work-around available for the inventory issue:

  • Add the weight after the roast has completed.

Sorry for the issues & we’re working as fast as possible to get the hot-fix out.

Let me know if this works.

Best regards,
Derrick

Hi Derrick,

I’m on a MacBook air, Catalina 10.15.7, and recently upgraded to 3.4.

On roast.world, the Beans-My Beans - In Stock values are not decrementing, but if I click on any bean, the In Stock value is correct.

After the upgrade I added a bean with. 465kg green weight. I roasted the full amount. The list shows In Stock =. 465kg, but if I click the bean, the details page shows In Stock = 0, which is correct

Is that this problem that the hot-fix addresses?

If not, what can you suggest?

Thanks!
Greg

Really looking forward to this. Thanks!

Hey @3gswish,

This seems to be a Roast World specific issue. I will look into this and get it fixed for you asap. The value shown when viewing a bean’s details is the correct value. Does doing a full page reload fix the issue on the roasts list page?

Best regards,
Derrick

Hey @wngsprd, we have an RT 3.4.1 RC1 version available in the Roastime slack channel. I’ll ping you there on the message with the installation file.

Also, if anyone else would like to try the RC1 release, let me know. You’re welcomed to join the Slack group with this info: Slack

Best regards,

Thanks! I’ll give it a try.

I roasted 2 batches yesterday…they both show properly in RT 3.4.0 and in RW, but did not update the RW inventory.

Hi Derrick,

Using Chrome - refresh and clearing cache did not resolve.
Using Safari - same issue.

I will give RC1 a go and let you know if anything changes.

Thank you!
Greg

Hi Derrick,

Something else that I just noticed - beans that were migrated and that show a positive in-stock value in the details view have an active “archive bean” icon in the summary page. Beans that were added AFTER upgrade to 3.4 and show zero (0) in-stock value in the details view have the archive bean icon greyed out, and hovering brings up the tip “A stock value of zero or less is required”.

I also am having a problem adding a new bean, but I’ll start a new thread on that topic.

Thanks,
Greg
