Screeching sound from pulley motor

Hello community ,
I started getting the screeching noise from the pulley motor. The local distributor’s technician came and tried adjusting the pulley, but, he pointed out that the noise is coming from the motor. I do not find any mention of the change of the motor.

Thanks Jacob. I will ask the Indian distributor to replace it.
Also, I am thinking of getting another V1 R2 for back up. Or should I upgrade to the new Pro.

Depends on your use case. If you are happy with the power and you roast smaller batches then the standard R2 would be a good choice. However if you roast a lot of larger batches then the Pro will give you that extra power and easier cooling.
