Smoke filter

Hi! Anyone have using a smoke / smell filter? Can be at least smell filter. I’m considering those carbon activated panels in a filter box, but I don’t know if will affect the performance of the AC Infinitive cloudline S4 inline fun.

Here is my setup, still tweaking it. Bullet exhaust to AC Infinity Filter Box w/MERV13 filter, AC Infinity S6 inline fan, ducting to AC Infinity Carbon Filter.

Still getting quite a bit of smoke, but it smells better.

Wondering if I should put the carbon filter right after the S6 inline fan or maybe before the filter box?

Any thoughts on your setup. Does it filter out most of the smell? Is it worth doing this route?

I like this setup so far.

To alleviate the amount of smoke pictured, I also added a regular 13MERV filter to the main intake. So between the roaster and the large intake…I just crank up the intake fan to max and it keeps suction on the filter keeping it in place.

So reg 13MERV to 13MERV in the box to carbon filter at end.

Much less smoke now and just has smell of toasty something. Hope this helps.

What about the smoke from cooling? I’m running on an S4 at 70%, no filters (yet), and smoke is tolerable during the roast.

The cooling is the problem I think, so I’m thinking about doing what others have by also exhausting the cooling fan.

I have very minimal smoke from my cooling fan. I do roast in my garage with the door open most times, so it vents naturally. I also have a small usb fan (for cooling the electric components under the roaster) that helps to move any smoke along and out.
