Software issue: roast lost at end

R2 w Roastime Version 4.13.6, Mac OS
I just finished the fourth in a series of roasts today. When I hit the PRS button to end the roast, roastime dropped the connection to the roaster and all the roast data disappeared.

  1. What can I do about this? Is it a bug?
  2. Can I get the roast profile data back?

Attached are the exported logs

Sorry to hear about that. In your logs I see this line:

Read error: LIBUSB_ERROR_NO_DEVICE: No such device (it may have been disconnected)

Which is likely the root cause of your issue. This basically indicates that the OS lost view of your device. It is interesting that happened exactly as you pressed PRS though…

Did it re-connect itself? We do have a way to “replay” and create a profile from a log. Can you send your roast logs (as opposed to RT software logs)?

Thanks for the response-- it did not reconnect until I removed and reconnected the cable.

I’d be happy to send the roast logs-- where do I find them?

@mcaillio where do I find the roast logs? I’m on Mac OS

Hey,

On MacOS, they should be in ~/Library/Application Support/roast-time/roasts I believe.

It looks to me like the file itself is missing.

I see only 3 of 4 roasts from that date, the same three that appear in RoasTime are in the log, the fourth is not.

I checked the rest of the files to see if perhaps the date or sequence number had been changed, but it doesn’t appear so.
