Spike in IBTS reading on every roast

Hi, all!

I’ve recently received my long-awaited Bullet R2 and I’m super excited to dive deeper into the roasting world.

Upon arrival, I’ve done 7 seasoning roasts until the beans became oily and 2 actual roasts with a roast recipe from the Bullet manual.

One thing I’ve noticed is that during every roast, starting from the 1st one I get a weird flick in IBTS reading along with spike in I-ROR readings (screenshots attached).

Reading the posts of others I’ve never seen behavior like this on their graphs. First I would have assumed that the IBTS sensor is dirty but the issue started from the first roast I’ve done.

Has anyone encountered an issue like this and is this an issue at all?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @solohorroman.PepS

For your reference, this looks similar to the issue discussed here:

I suggest updating the firmware to v159, as it may help fix this issue. You can find the firmware files here:

Thanks.

Thanks a lot, @jedsadazisz , it helped!
The issue is resolved.

The IBTS fluctuation appears largely an R2 issue, but I use an R1 and I have been plagued by it for quite a while now. I also changed the IBTS unit about a month back but that has not resolved the issue. I do mostly back-to-back roasts and strangely, the issue does not manifest in the first roast:

The issue comes up from the subsequent roasts. As of now, I am managing to live and roast with it but in real terms, it is a nuisance:
