Splash Screen

How about adding a Splash Screen when starting the software. Roastime takes quite a while to start up, and most of the time I end up with two instances running, because I cannot tell if the software is starting up, so I execute it again.

I would think adding a startup screen is pretty simple?

Thx.

What is quite a while in your case ? Mine is only about five or ten seconds in line with other software on my laptop…

Mine takes over 30 seconds.

Mine’s in the 5-10 sec range too. I suspect it’s version-dependent… ??

What are the specs on your laptop @skioutwest - 30 seconds is definitely high.

It is an older machine that I dedicated to the roaster. Its a Core i5 2.2 ghz with 8 gig ram on Win64.

Part of my problem is that I am starting the software during the startup sequence. Just timed it and it took 1:45 for the software frame to appear, then an addition minute for the frame to populate. This issue I have is that there is just no indication that I executed it, but sounds like this issue is unique to me.

Once the system is up and running, it takes about 10 seconds to start it up.

Those specs are actually pretty good. Is this MacOS or Windows? Maybe something to do with starting in the startup sequence if it starts quickly once you are running.
