FYI: After updating firmware 68 on R2 Pro, the spot light turns off when you push a button to turn off the dead mans switch, than turns on the next time you push a button to turn the dead mans switch, does this off and on until the roast is done. If you end with it off, after cool down, F1 to adjust spot light and it will come back on.
Anyone have any ideas on keeping the spot light rubber end cap on, mine just keeps falling off and I do not want to leave it off or end up in a bag of beans?
I don’t remember that happening to me while roasting with the new firmware. Either way, as I mentioned in another post, I think the new firmware has some bugs, so I reverted to the old one until everything is figured out.
I have the same issue with the light and Deadman alarm. Mentioned it to Aillio via email about some firmware issues I was having. Pretty sure there will be a firmware update with a fix in the near future.
Today, I roasted 4 lbs. after having downgraded the firmware back to 46. I had no problems at all and remembered the initial joy of using the machine before the 66 firmware and the persistent Dead Man’s Switch warnings.
I had this issue during several roasts today as well. Light worked fine until it didn’t lol. Stayed off for a couple roasts and during the dead man alarm, I hit PRS when light was on, and it stayed on. Happenstance? This occurred twice. Love the roaster!
@ibnabouna I also went back to 46, I also noticed that when you press A and scroll through the info, 46 has “Chaff Collector” info-blower RPM and clean %, which 68 does not.
Version 69 will fix the light issue and the dead man switch should annoy you a bit less.
69 still annoys and cut off power, i think this is particularly an issue for recipe users like us 
I have had it do this with recipe and manual adjustments…and I am right by the machine when it happens, as soon as the dead mans warning comes up so does the power, I will press F2 and no luck, I even had it warn me like 30 seconds later again. Ive tested this with recipes and manual, and press F2 multiple times before temp and after and not luck…I am back to 46.
didn’t work…light issue fixed, power to zero at the same time as the dead mans switch warning starts, I am right next to the machine and have tested manual and recipe while press F2 before and after warning, no such luck. Back to 46 plus it has chaff collector status.
