Start Por cooler before drop automatically?

When I drop the beans, I press the prc button at the same time and only then does the cooling fan start and ramp up, is there a way to start the cooler so it’s ready and pulling max air before I actually drop the beans? Say for example I drop at 222c start the cooler at 215c ?

How long is yours taking to ramp up? It should only be a couple of seconds, such that it’s insignificant to press PRC, pause for a couple seconds, and then drop the beans.

Not long but still, not great. I want to drop into a cooler already cooling ideally.

I always wait a little for the cooler fan to spool up and I think that’s a good thing. According to IBTS the beans surface temperature at the end of roast is over 210 degrees, I do not want to drop something that hot on the cooling tray right away. Instead I cool the beans inside the drum for a few (up to 10) seconds first.

I am a hobbyist and I do not know particularly well if that actually makes sense.

Ideally I want it to be spooling up ready via the ibts temperature ie 210 and then alarm Me at 222c for drop, by then the cooler is nice and cold.

Although I don’t see where a recipe will automatically spool it up for you unfortunately, you can manually turn it on by selecting it with F2 and starting it, like you would adjust drum or fan speed.

Not ideal, but be good to have this possible within roastime.
