Is there a reason for such a strict limit on replies? I replied to one thread and had to wait 20 min before being allowed to reply on a separate thread. It is frustrating to have to wait so long to engage in multiple threads that I am a part of. Is there a reason for this? (aside from people spamming the various posts?)
Is it possible to remove that restriction from verified users?

We experienced attempted DDoS attacks a while ago, so we’ve tightened the restrictions on posting and creating new users. We’ll bring this internally and see if there are other ways to verify legitimate users and posts. We apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused.

Thanks for the reply Kevin – understood and that makes sense.
Understandable, but tbh 14 minutes (or whatever it is) makes the site nearly unusable. It really limits interaction, and I think you’d have a more vibrant community here if users could comment on more than one thread per visit.
I would think you could use something like Capcha to verify users if DDoS is the concern.
