Switiching from playback to manual

I was wondering how do i switch from playback to manual during a roast. sometimes half way through a playback i want to take over manual control but the playback continues and keeps following the old steps automatically. how can i stop it from doing that?

Next to your recipe name in the menu on the left side while you’re in Roasting View there should be a small ‘X’ that will clear the preset and allow you to take control of the roast manually.

In my case when I start playback mode or overlay mode, the starting point of new roasting profile follows timeline, doesn’t fix at 0:00(slide to right side).
Is this just a happening or program error?

Must be a program error. Have you made sure you’re all up to date on the latest firmware?
