Today I started to prepare for my next roast by analysing my last roasts with that same bean and deciding on what I wanted to do a bit differently. In Roastime there is nowhere to do that adequately. There is the VERY limited Notes section, llimited becuase:
1/ only 1000 characters allowed, way way too little, should be at least 10k
2/ Notes are HIDDEN! You cannot simply click on a roast and read your notes about that roast… that is a basic need IMO. Currently you have to pretend you want to EDIT the roast details, and only then can you see the Notes section.
3/ huge block of text mode is restrictive, ugly and difficult to use… the way it ignores all formatting and makes one blob of text.
IMO that should be easy to see, pleasant to look at and perhaps even be expanded to allow you to create “roast plan markers”, that you could overlay over your plan for your next roast… so instead of overlaying a past roast you see markers of what P/F/D changes you would like to make. This would be VERY useful for tweaking roasts based on your analysis of a previous roast.
Here is a YT video of comments about points 1/, 2/ and 3/
