Temp IGBT1 OT Error on preheat

I’ve run into this error twice now so coming to forums for help. I’m trying to preheat up to 245C (is that too hot?) I’m waiting for RoR to stabilize a bit before I charge, and if I leave the roaster at this temp for >5 minutes I get this error. I checked the IBTS sensor and cleaned it off, it looked clean / normal though, I’ve only roasted a few times.

Attached my preheat curve screenshot, hoping i’m just doing something dumb!

Just tried this again with a preheat around 240C and as soon as I charged I hit the same error (Temp igbt1 ot) and it killed my roast and wouldn’t let me go above p0

I have plenty of airflow underneath the roaster, its ventilation is flowing right out the window.

Hi @jsmessick

Could you please help check the induction firmware version shown on the R2 display and confirm if it is already updated to v28?

If it does not show v28, please update the induction module by following the instructions below:

Bullet R2 / R2 Pro - Enabling Induction Module Firmware Update

If the induction firmware already shows v28, then the issue may be related to a faulty IGBT temperature sensor or a loose cable connection. You can open the induction cover and check the cable connection by following the instructions here:

Bullet R2 / R2 Pro - Induction board replacement

If the issue still persists after checking this, or if you are not technically comfortable opening the machine, please contact Aillio Support for further assistance:

Thank you.

That resolved it for now! Thanks. I was able to preheat to 245 and let it soak for 4-5 mins just to test it out and it handled no prob
