Temp recording significantly different between front panel and what computer displays/records

Last few roasts (am still a newbie) there is an obvious difference between what front panel is displaying and what computer is recording via the IBTS, ROR can be off as much as 30-40 deg and final bean temp records a different value.
Has always seems a time lag exists between front panel display and recorded data but doesn’t seem to explain all observed discrepancy.
Just wondering if others see same behavior or I’m missing something.
Thanks.

The IBTS ROR is additionally filtered in RT which could be why there is a difference. The IBTS bean temp should be the same on RT and the front panel.

Thanks for reply. Using RT v. 4.8.1 and installed firmware 615 not to long ago. Unsure what could be going on. For example stopped last roast at 420F on front panel but RT recorded stop point as 415.
ROR curves completely non-sensical, RT will show going from +50 or so ROR to a -5 in seconds and back again, none of which is consistent with front panel display.
Did re-install USB drivers from within RT, will see if makes any difference. I didn’t see any settings within RT/config etc. that could account for this.
Thanks,

Thanks @luderjk.8cot . This looks like some rendering issue. I can see the values in your actual profile look correct . Here are the final values in C from your last profile.

We will look into things for you.

Interesting, because recently discovered sort of similar issue, during roast I would offload at particular temperature, lets say drop temp during roast would be 212 degrees, but once I drop beans and roast finishes it records it as 209 final temp. Could also be firmware?

We made an update on RW to fix your final value. Could you try to get a recording of the difference of temps when roasting? Is the time also different?

Thanks!

Thanks for checking. I reloaded USB drivers, all software/firmware is up to date.
The IBTS temp itself is identical between Bullet faceplate and the computer display (left side of screen during active roast where temps/IBTS/I-ROR displayed). The ROR is wildly off from faceplate during roasts.
Did a deep clean and during that process cycled roaster through steps to ensure everything working correctly etc. Though heating drum without beans noted computer displayed ROR as high as 700-1500, completely different from faceplate display.
Updated all software etc. and performed 2 roasts.
IBTS itself identical between roaster & computer, and seemed to very accurately record end times/temps now.
The computer displayed I-ROR remained completely different from faceplate display. Varied widely from 2x (or more) to less than half and jumps suddenly from one extreme to the other. Don’t think can be explained by some kind of time lag between roaster and computer recording, nor am I sure all that wild data winds up in the graph of ROR.
Since IBTS temp itself accurate between the 2 as you stated must be some kind of gremlin in the computer processing of the ROR data though I have no idea why.
Thanks.
