Fan calibration with chaff collector unattached not working

Hi,

As per bullet R1 manual chaff collector shall be unattached when performing fan calibration, but when I try to perform fan calibration while chaff collector unattached it would not start unless I attached it then it would start. is this normal!!

Yes, if you live in Europe, or you don’t, but you still have a 220V CE certified Bullet.

Bullet R1 Manual - Google Docs

If that’s not the case, and you’ve tried to make it work by following the manual, contact support. Maybe update your firmware if you haven’t in a while.

Thanks for your reply, not living in Europe but I do have 220v machine ( which is our default power voltage) and firmware already updated to latest. But still can’t do fan calibration unless chaff collector is attached.

I think I found it mentioned here , Will try and see , many thanks.

Just click the link that I left above. The manual describes the operation in detail. I’ll copy/paste just in case…

  • For CE-certified 220V units. Follow these steps
  1. Take off your chaff collector.
  2. Take out the chaff filter from the chaff collector.
  3. Open the chaff collector silicon plug.
  4. Take off the bean chute plug.
  5. Take out the tryer.
  6. Place back the chaff collector.
  7. Turn on the Bullet and go to the menu section 6 by clicking F1 until the clock LED shows 6.
  8. Press the “A” button (top left button) If no calibration has been done before this should start the process.
    Or
  9. Start the calibration process by clicking both fan Up(+) and Down(-) buttons at the same time.
Now the calibration starts and this can take about 5 minutes to complete. When it is finished the Bullet will beep for two seconds and flash P8D briefly and go back to OFF mode.
  10. You can toggle between un-calibrated or calibrated fan speeds by clicking the “A” button in menu 6. 3 dashes - - - is un-calibrated and P-d means calibrated.
