Issues with USB connection

My connection to my computer fails if I barely touch the USB cable. It feels like the USB connection on the back of the bullet is very lose so I don’t think it is a cable issue. Is there anything I can do here? The connection fails mid roast sometimes and it will stop following a recipe while I’m packaging and I’ll lose the batch which isn’t great. Any help is appreciated!

Hi @everkindcoffeeworks,

While replacing the Control PCB Module should be the easiest solution, you can also try crimping the USB Port. Please be careful while doing this, as the part is rather fragile.

To crimp the USB Port:

  1. Remove the Control PCB Module from the Bullet.
  2. Plug the USB Cable into the USB Port.
  3. Gently crimp the USB Port using a pair of pliers.
  4. Unplug and replug the USB Cable. If the connection is still loose, repeat step 3 and increase the grip gradually.

You can follow the IBTS Fan replacement guide to access the USB Port:

Please let us know if this solves your issue.
